Cosmic Research, a group of students from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), has designed a rocket with which they want to reach the space. In previous publications, we have already told you about our involvement and cooperation with university projects (Hyperloop Arus). This time, he had the opportunity to talk to them and hear a little more about their dreams.

The members of Cosmic ResearchThey describe themselves as "a group of students who share the same dream". They say they want to be "the first students to send a rocket into space with a design and manufacture of their own".

In addition to being able to fulfill their dream of reaching space, those 100km, which are already considered to be in space, they tell us that they are also interested "in spreading scientific knowledge about space-related topics". That is why, give talks about the space, publish in the Instagram with astrophotography, etc.

A year ago they started the design of their last big step before starting with the final model that will take them into space. All their designs are named after female astronauts, which is why this latest one is called Bondar, in honor of Roberta Bondar, the first Canadian to reach space.

They want to reach space in 2022, with the design and construction of the final rocket, of about 8 meters. This is a major technological, logistical and economic challenge.

Do you want more information about the project? We have not hesitated to learn more about them; their members, their designs and their dreams.
