A bit of history
In 1982, Antonio García, after a long career in the textile industry in the maintenance area, created his own company Agatex, offering services in the industrial sector and ended up operating in the Vallès Oriental area, moving the family residence from Riudarenes (Girona) to Lliçà de Vall (Barcelona).
Meanwhile, the Agatex team grew and in the late nineties his three sons (Toni, Rubén and Natxo García) gradually joined the company.
In 1997 Agatex rented its first warehouse in Granollers, followed by another one in Lliçà de Vall, until 2005, when it acquired its current warehouse in Lliçà d'Amunt.
Throughout all these years the bulk of Agatex's activity has been focused on the Vallès Oriental (Barcelona), although it has also carried out multiple interventions in the Iberian Peninsula, as well as operations in France, Bulgaria, Costa Rica or Turkey for several clients.

At Agatex we are organized in 3 lines of business:
Industrial maintenance service
We make our technical maintenance team available to our customers. A part of the team is destined to customers who require permanent service in their facilities, while another part rotates according to the variable needs of the customers.
Our team of technicians is formed by mechanics, electricians and electronics specialized in industrial maintenance and with enough experience to be able to help our customers to improve the efficiency rates of the machines.
Agatex is characterized by the confidence it transmits in each intervention performed.
Projects and engineering
We develop solutions adapted to the needs of our customers. We draw up the drawings, manage the production and finally we take care of the assembly and installation at the customer's premises.
Projects that Agatex works on every day:
- Development of mechanical projects.
- Design of mechanical parts and systems.
- Preparation of mechanical drawings.
- Machinery design layout.
- Modernization of machinery.
- Safety study and design.
- Simulation of mechanisms in 3D.
Distributions
Graf: As a result of our origins linked to the textile world, we distribute and perform Graf replacement tasks in our customers' machinery.
- Graf is a consumable for textile production used to transform cotton and other fibers into yarn by "scraping" the fibers. Its serrated finish allows this scraping.
- The resulting yarn is used to make non-woven fabrics such as the famous Vileda from Freudenberg, surgical gowns, the white strip used to open Babybel cheeses, submarine cable sheaths, etc.
TierraTech: is a leading company in the manufacture of ultrasonic cleaning equipment for all sectors and applications. Agatex is the specialized technical service for this equipment providing fast and effective support.
Our current team exceeds 30 people, with prospects for growth in the short and medium term.
Perfect complement to EPIfoc
The incorporation of Agatex to EPIfoc and to Epidor TD in particular is mutually interesting for the reciprocal benefits it brings us. Basically customer service and cross selling.
As far as customer service is concerned, it must be considered that the customer values the material replacement much more highly than the workmanship.
You prefer an assembled bearing rather than just the bearing, because the bearing alone does not definitively solve your need.
Now we can provide the spare parts from Epidor TD and the assembly from Agatex, forming a perfect combination.
Agatex and Epidor TD in this first year have strengthened the ties that already existed offering together to our customers all kinds of services and works. From machine movements, machining to heavy load moving systems.
