EPI INDUSTRIES and SDG 5: Gender Equality

EPI INDUSTRIES Family of Companies, is a family business founded by a father, Guillermo Dorr, and his daughter, Rosmarie Dorr.

The group is currently managed by two siblings of the 3rd generation, Antoni and Mireia Cammany Dorr.

Equal opportunities for women and men have always been a reality in our family and we have always tried to transfer them to our companies.

It is true that as distribution companies of specialized products and services for the industry, the presence of women is discrete, replicating the existing proportion in the training centers of the studies that our activity requires. 

But our will has always been to increase this presence. For this reason in 2015 we drafted the 1st Equal Opportunity Plan for one of our companies, ADALIS Industrial Solutions, S.A.U., subsequently implemented to the rest of the Group's companies. 

During the 2019 fiscal year, with the incorporation of the 2030 Agenda to our Strategic Plans, after landing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to our reality, we selected 6 SDGs to work on in the coming years. One of them was SDG 5: Gender Equality, SDG considered genetic in our organization. One of the actions planned this year 2020 aligned with this objective is the drafting of a new Equality Plan for the entire EPI INDUSTRIES group of companies, including foreign subsidiaries.

Writing an Equality Plan is something very important and positive, besides contrasting perceptions and realities in gender issues, it allows planning actions and measures that make equity between women and men possible, always offering equal opportunities.

We don't do it out of obligation. We do it out of organizational culture. We do it because we believe in it.
