Early this year 2019, EPI INDUSTRIES family of companies begins a collaboration with Km0 Energya recently incorporated company, whose objective is to make the energy transition effective. Thus, in order to reduce carbon emissions from its economic activity, it applies energy efficiency measures, self-consumption and green energy contracting.
In order to contract green energy, a bidding process was opened to select the supplier that would guarantee electricity from renewable energy sources. This, in turn, had to meet certain objective criteria, such as price, and subjective criteria, such as proximity and quality of service.
The winner in all aspects has been Electra Caldense Energía, a centenary company based in Caldes de Montbui, dedicated to the commercialization of electricity and telecommunications operator, among other activities.
With this action EPI INDUSTRIES family of companies aligns with three of the SDGs of the 2030 Agenda: SDG 7, Affordable and Clean Energy; SDG 13, Climate Action; and SDG 17, Partnerships to Achieve the Goals.
At EPI INDUSTRIES family of companies we are proud to have launched this project and, following the guidelines of our strategic plans, we will continue to promote actions aligned with the reduction of our carbon emissions into the atmosphere, as well as with other SDGs of the 2030 Agenda.
