In recent years, the number of interest in ergonomic load handling systems. This is because the industry feels the imperative need to improve so that workers have tools and conditions that facilitate their work performance.

There are several systems on the market designed to provide lifting and traction solutions. We can help you select the right one and customize your option depending on the load and space. We explain some options.

Ergonomics

In order to understand what ergonomic load handling systems are, we must be clear about what the word "ergonomic" means. ergonomics. This term comes from the union of two Greek words; ergonwhich means "work" and from nomoswhich means "rule, law". With this union was generated the name that makes reference to the "science of work", the key to generating better workspaces.

It is important to consider ergonomics in the workplace. If the worker feels comfortable and has tools that allow him to carry out his work without having to exert too much effort, the ergonomics of the workstation can be improved.he quality of work and productivity will increase exponentially.

For this reason, having a good level of ergonomics in a working environment is not only positive for the employee, but also for the company.. Clearly, there are spaces where it is easier to achieve ergonomic quality than in others. It is not as laborious to achieve a quality space for the worker at a desk next to a computer as it is on a production line handling weights. What solutions does the industry offer for these cases? Ergonomic load handling systems.

Ergonomic load handling systems

Ergonomic systems for handling loads are engineering constructions designed to facilitate the handling process of one or more elements.

It is essential for carrying out work with heavy weights, as these can hinder the handling of the different elements during the production process. There are several ergonomic load handling systems:

Rail systems

The rail system is usually made from overhead cranes suspended from the ceiling, a perfect type of fastening for production environments with large surface areas but limited floor space. They have two types of mounting capacity, parallel or perpendicular to the supporting beams of the vessel or location itself.

One of the characteristics to be taken into account for this type of overhead crane is that provide rectangular coverage for a single workstation and that can support up to 1400 kg.

Jib cranes

Another option for installing an ergonomic handling system in a workspace are jib cranes.

These installations have great advantages thanks to their manufacture with aluminum rail, which gives the boom a light weight that makes it easy to move and provides low rolling resistance, which gives it a remarkably smooth ride. This fact makes the rolling stress of the jib cranes lower than 1%.

The jib crane is one of the more economical solutions for ergonomic systems This makes it an ideal choice for low-transfer applications.

Balancers

The balancers are a safe system for ergonomic lifting on the production line. The balancer offers ease of load lifting thanks to its ability to generate a weightless sensation when moving a weight.

This type of load handling system has quite remarkable features, such as precise, effortless positioning. This virtue is attributed to its weightless type system. This leaves both hands available to carry out a manipulation of the agile loading with little or no resistance.

Handling arms

This option is presented perfect in spaces with obstacles. Manipulation arms are ideal for reaching objects that are located close to an element that makes access difficult. Provide high accuracy without difficulty

With this type of system, the prevents the operator from having to overexert himself or herself to reach products in cramped or awkward areas, and is used for prevent injuries

This option has a float that leaves both hands free to manipulate the load without resistance or extra effort, giving it versatility and ease of maneuverability.

Handling equipment

Handling equipment are designed to facilitate the interaction between machine and operator. Therefore, they can be designed with manual or assisted tilt and rotation devicesThe operator can orient the part as desired by minimizing difficulties and efforts.
